Manipur recieves 3 metric tonnes oxygen from Assam amid shortage of oxygen in the state

IMPHAL:  Manipur today received at least 3 metric tonnes of oxygen from the neighboring state Assam amid a shortage of oxygen in the state.

Assam state health minister  Himanta Biswa Sarma said during the ongoing COVID-19 situation, Assam's surplus resources are always available to assist all in the Northeast region as well as elsewhere.

Manipur chief minister N Biren Singh thanked Assam chief minister Sarbananda Sonowal and minister Himanta Biswa Sarma for allowing Manipur to use Assam's plants in Nagaon and Silchar to obtain much-needed oxygen, saying Assam's help at this juncture speaks volumes about the NE Region's cooperation.
