MANIPUR: A SEVEN YEAR OLD CHILD LIFE SAVED BY 17 ASSAM RIFLES

The 17 Assam Rifles saved a child named Kenu d/o Mr Rabi who was bitten by a poisonous snake and was in a critical condition. The child was immediately brought to Yaingangpokpi post of 17 Assam Rifles. The family of the patient requested for an emergency first aid, and without wasting any precious time, nursing assistant of  Assam Rifles post showed courage and presence of mind, and administered life saving Anti Snake Venom injections hence saving the child in life threatening condition.

Later the child was evacuated to J N hospital Porampat, Imphal for further management. The present condition of the child is stable and the girl is out of danger. The family of the child and relatives applauded the  Assam Rifles Yaingangpokpi post and expressed heartfelt gratitude for providing timely medical aid due to which child's life could be saved from a critical stage.
