MANIPUR: TWO OVER GROUND WORKERS APPREHENDED

In a cordoned search operation two over ground workers of Kangleipak Communist Party (KCP), Military Joint Committee (MJC) got arrested from their respective home. The arrestees were identified as Yengkhom Sandeep alias Piktru Singh (34) son of Y. Shyamkishor Singh of Lamphel Sana Keithel and Konsam Sheitakumar alias Nanao Singh (34) son of K. Ibomcha Singh of Khurai Kongpal Laishram Leikai.

Both of them were working under the command of one S/S Deputy Finance Dilip alais Wangamba of Naorem Leikai, presently staying at Nepal side and frequently contacted to seek further advices. Under his command both of them extorted huge amount of money from health clinics, schools and mobile phone offices. Form their possession recovered three demand letters of KCP (MJC), one santro car B/regd. no. MN 01X- 3604 which was used in the extortion and two mobile handsets. They are handed over to Lamphel PS along with the seizures for further necessary legal action.
