MANIPUR: VDF MEMBER ARRESTED

11 July 2018:

After receiving credible input from 5-JAK Rif Mayang Imphal regarding the presence of Valley based OGWs at Hayel Hangul Awang Leikai, a team of Mayang Imphal Police Station led by Wangkhomba (SDPO Mayang Imphal) under the supervision of Jogeshchandra SP-IW arrested Md. Firoj Khan (31) S/O MD. Abdul Majid of Hayel Hangul, Ayang Leikai from his house. He is currently serving as a VDF in Thoubal District bearing VDF no. 2010.

From his possession one smoke grenade, eleven live rounds of 7.62 mm calibre, three fired empty cases of 7.62 mm calibre, ten SP(spasmo proxyvon) tablets and two small plastic cylinders containing a powder suspected to be No. 4 (Heroine) drug and one mobile phone with two SIM cards has been recovered.
