Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh has finally weighed in on the contentious peace talks between the Government of India and the Naga organizations, and stated that no 'Naga solution' shall be put forth before consulting the primary stakeholders, especially Manipur.
Biren Singh told mediapersons that the a;;-party delegation "The meeting was fruitful and political delegation led by me met honorable Home Minister Amit Shah Ji and two other Minister, and Amit Shah assured us that no final decision will be taken before discussing with the primary stakeholders", Biren Singh said.
Biren Singh further urged that the people of the State should come together in union.

In recent times, Manipur has witnessed numerous protests in fear that the "territorial integrity" of Manipur shall be compromised.

However, the Government of the India has assured that the final decision will only be given after consulting the Governments of the neighboring states of Manipur, Arunachal, as well as Assam.
For the second consecutive day, Manipur remains shut due to the ‘Naga Issue’ as the Co-ordinating Committee on Manipur Integrity (COCOMI) has set November 4 as the deadline to reveal the details of the Indo-Naga talks.
The Centre is yet to make any formal announcements on the conclusion of the Naga Peace Talks. However, on Thursday, it assured to consult with all the stakeholders including Assam, Manipur and Arunachal Pradesh before any settlement is arrived at with Naga groups.
The government in a communique stated, “It has come to notice of the Government that lots of rumors and misinformation are being spread in media including social media that final Naga settlement has been arrived at and will be announced soon. This is creating anxiety and concern in some parts of the country.”
