The greatest carnival of democracy is underway as people from all across the country are exercising their democratic right to vote during Phase-II of the polls.
Six Constituencies from the North-Eastern region of India - Nagaon, Silchar, Karimganj, Mangaldoi, Autonomous Council, and Inner Manipur - will head to the polls to decide the fate of 61 candidates (50 in Assam; 11 in Manipur).
The polling percentage in these initial moments in the six Constituencies of the North-East are as follows:
Nagaon: 4%
Mangaldoi: 4%
Silchar: 3%
Karimganj: 2%
Autonomous Council: 2%
Inner Manipur: 2%
It may be mentioned that the election in Tripura East Constituency, which was earlier supposed to head to the polls today, has been deferred till 23 April because of security concerns.
