Suspected NSCN-IM cadre arrested in Manipur

Imphal (Manipur), September 14, 2018:

A suspected cadre of the National Socialist Council of Nagalim-Isak Muivah (NSCN-IM) was arrested by a team of Assam Rifles from Tamenglong on Thursday.

A source said that based on specific inputs an operation was launched by a team of Assam Rifiles and police in the Sibilong area of Tamenglong. During the operation the team succeeded in arrested a suspected person identified as Keisang Kamei.

A Assam Rifles source said that on interrogation it was found that the person is a cadre of the NSCN-IM. The team also recovered a Pistol with 8 live rounds of ammunition from his possession.

The suspected person has been taken to Imphal for further legal proceedings.
