Kangpokpi district education carnival concludes; TSA Sadar Hills champions ‘bringing quality education home’
The Kangpokpi District Education Carnival 2025 concluded with high enthusiasm at the Apex Old Chapel Hall in Motbung, showcasing the academic, cultural, and artistic talent of students from across the district.
Organized by the Thadou Students’ Association (TSA) Sadar Hills, the event featured 22 competitions and drew wide appreciation for its vision of strengthening local education.
The carnival, described as a transformative movement rather than merely a competition, carried a central message: students should no longer have to leave Manipur for quality education — it must be built and strengthened within the district.
UPF Spokesperson Aaron Kipgen attended as Chief Guest while social worker Helien Kipgen graced the event as Guest of Honour. Their presence, alongside district leaders and educators, reaffirmed collective support for improving educational standards in Kangpokpi.
Among the major highlights, the District Schools Queen title went to Lhingdeikim Haokip of MBC Higher Secondary School. The Schools Idol competition was won by Lenkhanpao Vaiphei of Damdei Christian College, while the Kids Got Talent category saw Apple Buds student Haola Haulallian Vaiphei secure the top position.
Apex Christian English School emerged as the district’s Best School, followed by St. Vincent’s School, Pangmoul, and Ideal Senior Secondary School, Charhajare. The Students of the Year award was claimed by Lhingjemkim Lhouvum of Apex Christian English School.
According to TSA Sadar Hills, the awards recognized academic excellence, discipline, leadership, and institutional performance. The association emphasized that the carnival aimed to inspire confidence, curiosity, and a stronger academic culture within the district.
TSA leaders reaffirmed their commitment to nurturing homegrown talent, improving school infrastructure, and creating opportunities that allow children to thrive without leaving Sadar Hills. They said the carnival stands as a significant milestone in redefining the district’s educational landscape.
With strong community support and vibrant student participation, the Education Carnival 2025 has sparked renewed hope for building a future where quality education is accessible and locally rooted in Kangpokpi.
