Kangpokpi Police Station wins DGP Manipur Trophy for best performance

Kangpokpi Police Station has been named the Best Police Station in Manipur for 2025, receiving the prestigious DGP Manipur Trophy on the 134th Manipur Police Raising Day. The award highlights the station’s operational efficiency, commitment to public service, and exemplary performance.

Inspector H. Kipgen, the station’s Officer-in-Charge, leads the team credited for this achievement. The recognition, announced by the Director General of Police, Manipur, follows a state-wide evaluation conducted by a screening committee under the DGP’s office. City Police Station, Imphal West, and Bishnupur Police Station finished second and third, respectively.

As part of the Raising Day celebrations, the Kangpokpi district police also inaugurated a synthetic badminton court at the station premises. The facility, designed with high-quality flooring, aims to promote physical and mental fitness among personnel, aligning with the Fit India Movement.

The opening was followed by the first Kangpokpi District Police Badminton Tournament, with strong participation from officers and staff.

Additional SP (L&O) SL Kamkhohao praised the collective efforts of the station, calling the award a reflection of the team’s professionalism and dedication.
