Manipur CM assures swift redressal of key infrastructure woes at Sainik School Imphal

Manipur Chief Minister Yumnam Khemchand Singh on Sunday, February 15 assured swift resolution of key infrastructural and administrative challenges facing Sainik School Imphal, promising time-bound intervention to address long-pending concerns raised by the institution’s authorities.


During his visit to the premier residential school, the Chief Minister reviewed its functioning and infrastructure. Principal Col A. Rajiv made a detailed presentation outlining several pressing issues affecting the institution’s day-to-day operations and overall development.


Among the major concerns highlighted were deteriorating infrastructure, irregular water supply, the urgent need to strengthen the perimeter wall for security, and delays in the construction of the proposed girls’ hostel. 


The school administration also pointed to technical issues related to sound clarity at the Vikram Batra Auditorium, which has been impacting official and academic events.


Responding to the presentation, Singh acknowledged the importance of maintaining high standards at the institution and assured that necessary steps would be taken to resolve the issues at the earliest, reaffirming the state government’s commitment to strengthening educational infrastructure in Manipur.
