Manipur Chief Secretary Puneet Kumar Goel, on September 5, said that all provisions outlined in the Suspension of Operation (SoO) agreement signed between the Centre, the state government and armed groups will be implemented in full.
Speaking to the media on the sidelines of the State-Level Teachers’ Day celebration in Imphal, Goel stressed that the government’s primary focus remains on restoring peace and normalcy in the state.
Responding to questions on the reopening of the National Highway, the Chief Secretary said the agreement reached on September 4 would be implemented into action soon.
On the demand by the Kuki Zo Council to strictly enforce buffer zones between Meitei and Kuki-Zo areas, he reiterated that the government is committed to honouring every clause of the agreement.
