In a significant step toward education reform, the Kuki Students’ Organisation (KSO) Sadar Hills today, October 1 inaugurated its Special Free Coaching Programme for Class VI Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Selection Test (JNVST) 2025–2026. The initiative, under the theme “Education is the Mother of Leadership”, was launched at the KSO Sadar Hills Administrative Office in Kangpokpi Town.
The programme was graced by Captain Vivek of the 16 Assam Rifles, Inspector H. Kipgen of Kangpokpi Police Station, and Thangboi Haokip, Proprietor of Gunchu Coaching Institute. Pastor Kaison Gangte delivered blessings and spiritual inspiration during the event.
A total of forty students, including displaced children residing in relief camps across Sadar Hills, have enrolled for the free coaching. Classes are set to commence on October 2 and will run until the JNVST entrance examination.
Speakers at the launch emphasised the transformative power of education in shaping future leaders. They encouraged students to overcome challenges through perseverance and dedication. Pastor Kaison dedicated the programme to the shared vision of uplifting the community.
Supported by qualified educators from Gunchu Coaching Institute, the programme seeks to bridge learning gaps, enhance access to quality education for underprivileged students, and foster equitable opportunities.
KSO leadership expressed heartfelt gratitude to sponsors, teachers, and community stakeholders. “This initiative goes beyond preparing for an entrance exam — it is about nurturing hope, equity, and leadership among the youth of Sadar Hills,” said a KSO representative.
As part of its wider education reform mission, KSO Sadar Hills will replicate the programme in Saikul Block under KSO Saikul, beginning October 6.
