TC College of Teacher’s Education and Bachelor of Social Work in Kangpokpi today successfully conducted its Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) Entrance Examination, drawing more than 200 aspiring teachers from across the region.
As the only teacher education institution in Kangpokpi District and one of just three in all of Manipur’s hill districts, TC College continues to play a transformative role in shaping the academic future of underserved communities.
Conducted in strict compliance with National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) guidelines, the entrance test maintained high standards of transparency and merit-based selection.
College Chairman T. Kipgen underscored the critical role of well-trained teachers in reimagining education in remote regions.

Academic Dean, Assistant Professor Phaldeitheng Kipgen, emphasized that teacher education is no longer optional but indispensable.
“In today’s fast-evolving academic landscape, only qualified and trained teachers can meet the complex demands of students and society,” she noted.
She also elaborated on the seat distribution for the B.Ed. program in line with NCTE norms and reassured candidates about the transparency of the selection process.
