Manipur Violence: 32 Kuki students allegedly attacked by Meitei Mob in Imphal

In a gruesome incident, 32 Kuki students studying at the government polytechnic Takyel, Imphal were allegedly attacked by a Meitei mob.

As per reports, the Kuki students who were studying at the government polytechnic were escorted by the Assam Rifles amid the ongoing turmoil in the state. 

On the way, the Meitei mob stop the escort at Langjing Imphal West.

The mob even tried to pull the students from the bus and when the army resist, the mob allegedly punctured the bus tires and threw stones.

As per reports, althought the incident occurred on May 4, due to an internet connectivity issue the matter came to light only on May 24.

Earlier thousands of Kuki protestors on May 24 at Saparmeina village reiterated not to propagate peace before a solution.

A sit-in protest was held today in Saparmeina village in Kangpokpi district after a similar protest was held at Kangpokpi town and Keithelmanbi village seeking immediate Central Government intervention with a solution based on the political dialogue between the UPF and KNO and the Governments.

Sticking firm with the unanimous stance of the Kukis, "solution first, peace next" a thousand protestors strongly urged the Government and its machinery not to talk or initiate any peace process before any solution arrived.
