Manipur woman held for murder of South Korean live-in partner in Greater Noida
A late-night drinking session in a luxurious Greater Noida apartment turned deadly on Sunday, January 4, leaving a South Korean man dead and his live-in partner from Manipur in police custody for murder.
The victim, identified as Duck Jee Yuh, a South Korean citizen and branch manager at a reputed mobile phone company, was brought to GIMS Hospital with severe stab wounds. Doctors declared him dead on arrival. The hospital immediately alerted local police, triggering a swift investigation.
The woman who admitted him, Lunjeana Pamai from Thangal, Manipur, reportedly confessed during questioning to stabbing Yuh. Police said the couple had been living together for nearly two years and that the incident followed a heated argument while they were consuming alcohol. Sources indicate the altercation escalated into a physical fight, during which Pamai allegedly stabbed Yuh in the chest.
“During the argument, in a fit of rage, the accused stabbed the deceased, causing fatal injuries,” a police officer said.

Pamai rushed Yuh to the hospital, but he succumbed to his injuries before medical intervention could save him. Police have registered a case at Knowledge Park Police Station. In an official statement, authorities said: “A South Korean national was brought dead to GIMS Hospital on January 4, 2026. Preliminary investigation revealed that he was admitted by his live-in partner, Lunjeana Pamai of Thangal, Manipur, who has allegedly stabbed him to death with a knife. She has been arrested, and further investigation is ongoing.”
Investigators further revealed that the relationship between the couple was reportedly strained. Allegations suggest that the deceased frequently consumed alcohol and was physically abusive toward the woman, leading to repeated disputes. Pamai has claimed that she did not intend to kill him and that the stabbing occurred in the heat of the moment.
Her statement is being thoroughly verified as part of the ongoing investigation. She remains in police custody, and authorities will determine further legal action based on the investigation’s findings.
