Manipur's Twilang welcomes long-awaited ambulance, strengthening healthcare services
Manipur's Twilang witnessed a momentous occasion as residents and civil society organizations warmly welcomed the arrival of a long-awaited ambulance, marking a significant step forward in the region’s healthcare infrastructure. The initiative, spearheaded by Health Services Manipur, has been hailed as a crucial development for the community, ensuring timely medical assistance in emergencies.
The Twilang Area Kuki Chiefs' Association (TACKA), Joint Monitoring Development Committee (JMDC), Tujang Vaichong Village Authority, and Tujang Vaichong Youth Club expressed profound gratitude for the allocation of the ambulance, which has been designated as one of the departmental vehicles for emergency healthcare services.
Acknowledging the efforts behind this initiative, the civil society organizations extended their heartfelt appreciation to Dr. Chambo Gonmei, Director of Health Services, Manipur, along with the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) of Kangpokpi and the Medical Officer in charge of PHC Tujang Vaichong, for their dedication to improving healthcare access in the region.
The arrival of the ambulance at PHC Tujang Vaichong was met with an outpouring of joy and relief from community members. In a solemn dedication ceremony, Pastor in-charge Paohao invoked divine blessings for the vehicle, its operators, and the countless lives it is expected to save.
