AAP to contest Autonomous District Council Elections in Meghalaya

Guwahati, November 8, 2018:

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) will be taking part in the upcoming Autonomous District Council elections in Meghalaya in 2019.

The AAP (state unit) has urged willing candidates to contact them for candidature if they are willing to contest from AAP.

Wonder Lapang secretary, state unit said, "Applications are invited from intending candidates to contest the upcoming Autonomous District Councils’ Election 2019. All candidates are advised to contact the party office bearers."

The Khasi Hills Autonomous District Council (KHADC) and Jaintia Hill Autonomous District Council (JHADC) elections will be held next year next year.

The AAP had also contested the Assembly Polls held in the State earlier this year, but they did not secure any seats.
