Chief Minister Conrad Sangma’s National People’s Party (NPP)-led Meghalaya Democratic Alliance (MDA) Government has completed one year in office on Wednesday.
The MDA Government is supported by the United Democratic Party, People’s Democratic Front, Hill State People’s Democratic Party, BJP, NCP, and independents.
On the occasion, report card highlighting some of its initiatives and roadmap drew for taking the state forward shall be released today.
Conrad Sangma has taken up the social media platform to express his experience in this one year. He posted in his Facebook profile: “The journey so far has been good. The MDA Government has been working to ensure that the dreams of our people are fulfilled. As we complete one year in office, we will release a report on the significant initiative taken by the government and the road map ahead. We want to tell our people what we are doing to take Meghalaya forward. Thank you, Meghalaya and all party workers who stood by us and had faith in our leadership.”
The NPP came into power after the by-polls that were held on February 27, 2018. It is to be mentioned that Sangma will visit Guwahati on March 6 to launch the Assam state unit of the NPP.
