The counting of votes for the Khasi Hills Autonomous District Council (KHADC) and Jaintia Hills Autonomous District Council (JHADC) polls in Meghalaya is underway. The District Council poll is one of the crucial polls ahead of the all-important Lok Sabha elections 2019.
It is to be mentioned that the KHADC and JHADC were held on February 27. The candidates contesting the election belong to six different parties.
n KHADC, Congress is leading the trends with ten seats as of now. Meanwhile, in the JHADC election, the NPP Party is leading with 10 seats. Around 130 candidates' fates will be decided in the KHADC polls while 101 candidates have contested the JHADC polls.
