GUWAHATI: The Border Security Force has nabbed as many as 19 Bangladeshi nationals, including women and children, from the international border area in East Khasi Hills district.
Among the 19 infiltrators, there were 13 males, 3 females and 3 children, including 2 touts.
Acting on a tip-off, the BSF launched an operation at an unfenced route near the border and observed suspicious movement of some people.
According to BSF, the Bangladeshi nationals were apprehended while illegally crossing an unfenced area under the Rynkhua BOP on September 27.

The arrested are residents of the Sunamganj district in Bangladesh.
It was revealed during a preliminary investigation that the infiltrators were facilitated by a tout to entry India and they were heading towards Kashmir for work.
For further proceedings, the infiltrators were handed over to the police.
