SHILLONG: Former Meghalaya Chief Minister late E.K. Lyngdoh's son was charred to death inside his own vehicle near Umran Diary on the Shillong-Guwahati national highway yesterday in Ri-Bhoi district.
The victim identified as Ferdinand B Lyngdoh, an Assistant Professor in charge of the Department of Basic Science and Humanities at the College of Community Science in Sangsanggre, Tura, was travelling from Tura to Shillong when his car suddenly burst into fire, as per reports.

Ri-Bhoi Superintendant of Police Nazarius Lamare informed it to be a case of car AC burst due to high pressure. The windows of the vehicle were completely shut during the incident.
Victim Ferdinand B Lyngdoh was also the younger brother of Congress MLA George Lyngdoh.
