MEGHALAYA: POLICE CONSTABLE HIT BY MINISTER’S SON DIES

Meghalaya police constable Probat Marak who had sustained injuries after being hit by the Mercedes of Health Minister A L Hek’s son, Aibansharai Nongsiej died at NEIGRIHMS in Shillong.

It may be mentioned that another constable P D Sangma was killed and Probat Marak was seriously injured when the Meghalaya Health Minister A L Hek’s son, Aibansharai Nongsiej rammed his Mercedes into their motorcycle at Fourthfurlong area in the town last week. Aibansharai Nongsiej has been charged with Section 304 IPC

Police earlier filed an FIR and registered a suo moto case after the relatives of the victims did not lodge any complaints. Aibansharai Nongsiej was arrested earlier but was released because it is a bailable offence.
