SHILLONG: The Meghalaya Power Distribution Corporation Limited (MePDCL) on November 10 announced the MePDCL One Time Settlement (OTS) Scheme, 2020.
The Scheme is for all categories of defaulting consumers (including permanently disconnected consumers) having outstanding dues of electricity bills as of 31st March 2020.

The OTS Scheme offers a waiver of 100% of DPC (Delayed Payment Charges) or 30% of total outstanding dues, whichever is more beneficial to the consumers. This scheme is valid only for a limited period that is from 1st November 2020 to 31st January 2021. The consumers are requested to make most of the scheme and clear their liabilities to MePDCL.
For detailed information, the consumers are asked to contact their respective Assistant Executive Engineer (AEE) of the distribution sub-division or Nodal Officer, OTS, MeECL Headquarter, Lum Jingshai or visit the website www.meecl.nic.in.
