SHILLONG: Meghalaya State Planning Board Chairman Pu Lambor Malngiang, (MLA/MDC) met Mizoram Chief Minister Pu Zoramthanga who is also holding State Planning Board Chairman on Wednesday.
During the meeting, the dignitaries discussed issues relating to economic development for both states.
Speaking of how he works closely with Mizo community and many sub-tribes of Mizoram in his constituency, the Meghalaya State Planning Board Chairman expressed his optimism for an enduring friendship and partnership in all sectors.

Pu Zoramthanga, Mizoram Chief Minister echoed the importance of nurturing good relations between the two states, and said that should any situation arise where Mizoram can assist Meghalaya in the development of its economy, Mizoram shall do its best.
After his meeting with the Chief Minister, Pu Lambor Malngiang met with Mizoram Planning Board Vice Chairman Pu H. Rammawi followed by a meeting with NGO leaders of the state. He was accompanied by Dr. Krishna Chauhan, Expert Member (Economist) Meghalaya State Planning Board and Pu Enrich GL Nongbri, Law Department, Govt. of Meghalaya.
