Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma has been caught violating the 'Model Code of Conduct' and thanks to an alert civilian, the poster of the CM violating the MCC has been removed. Due to the introduction of the 'cVigil' app by the Election Commission to curb instances of violation of the 'Model Code of Conduct' which have been enforced nationwide since Sunday, politicians have to be wary these days.
A civilian reported a poster of the Meghalaya CM at the North East Hill University (NEHU) endorsing the CM's scholarship programme in conjunction with Alternative Learning Systems (ALS). Flying squads on receipt of the report on cVigil removed the poster which violated the MCC under the 'posters without mandatory declaration' category.
