UPDATE| Meghalaya Rescue operations continue for the 32nd consecutive day

Guwahati, January 14, 2019:

The Meghalya rescue operation is still in process as it enters the 32nd day with the Kirloskar Brothers Limited, Odisha Fire service, Indian Navy and Coal India Limited (CIL) all running their pumps since Saturday evening to rescue the unlucky miners.

Kirloskar had been pumping water out from the main shaft from 5 PM Saturday evening till 11 AM on Sunday. The amount of water discharged till now is 1530000 litres.

The CIL is running their pump simultaneously in the adjacent old shaft with a total discharge is 1927800 litres of water.

The Odisha Fire service used their pumps to delivered water pumped by the CIL to the nearby stream.

Meanwhile, the Indian Navy is also operating their ROV in the main shaft on the rescue site of Meghalaya.
