Two tourists from Assam, returning from Sohra in Meghalaya, met with an accident at Mawkdok on January 12.
Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma and Health Minister Ampareen Lyngdoh, who were traveling from Sohra, stopped at the accident site to provide assistance to the injured.
The Chief Minister’s on-duty doctor attended to the injured individuals on-site, offering immediate medical care. Additionally, an ambulance was called to transport the victims to a nearby hospital for further treatment.
The condition of the injured individuals is reported to be stable, and they are expected to recover fully.
