Illegal areca nuts consignment worth Rs over 1.70 Crore seized in Mizoram

AIZAWL: Assam Rifles troopers seized a huge consignment of illegal areca nuts from Champhai District of Mizoram today.

The seized areca nuts consignment consisted of 780 bags of areca nuts.

According to sources, the market value of the seized areca nuts is approximately Rs 1,70,44,800.

The areca nuts consignment was seized during an operation conducted out by a joint team of Assam Rifles and Customs Department in Champhai based on specific information.
