As per the latest reports coming in from Mizoram, Governor Kummanam Rajasekaran has resigned from his post less than 10 months after his appointment and President Ramnath Kovind has also accepted his resignation.
The resignation of the ex-Kerala BJP Chief has led to speculations that he will contest the upcoming Lok Sabha election from the Thiruvananthapuram constituency, thereby challenging incumbent Shashi Tharoor.
It is to be mentioned that Rajasekaran started his political career in 1970 as an activist if the RSS. Tee duties of Mizoram Governor shall now be undertaken by Assam Governor Jagdish Mukhi.
