Guwahati, December 11, 2018:
Lal Thanhawla has stepped down from the position of Chief Minister on Tuesday and submitted his resignation to the Governor K Rajasekharan after losing from both constituencies Serchhip and South Champhai.
While interacting with media, Lal Thanhawla stated that he is also not aware of the reason behind Congress party’s defeat in the Assembly election.
Meanwhile, the president of MNF, Zoramthanga denies any coalition government after winning a majority .
Addressing media, Zoramthanga stated that the MNF’s first priorities would be three things – to impose a prohibition on liquor, repairing roads and implement Social Economic Development Programme.
