AIZAWL: Jemima H Lallawmzuali, a resident of Ramhlun South, Aizawl has halted her studies to volunteer as a full-time staff at Zoram Medical College in the light of the COVID-19 crisis.
Jemima, a student of nursing, was due to leave Mizoram for higher studies outside the state.
Mizoram has become the second-worst COVID hit state of Northeast India after Assam. Mizoram unbothered during the first wave of COVID-19 is now in crisis in the second wave of the pandemic.

The Zoram Medical College was facing a shortage of medical staff to fight the battle with COVID-19 and issued an urgent notice seeking volunteers from the state.
Jemima after receiving the notice decided to put her studies at a halt and voluntarily responded to the call from the Medical College.
Jemima arrived at ZMC today, dropped off by her parents, and immediately busied herself in service. She has started attending to the patients right after arriving at ZMC.
Many showed gratitude for her service and responsibility towards her state.
