Three persons have been tested positive for the COVID-19 in Mizoram on June 4th, 2020 taking the total to 17.
Saying that the government in its full capacity will ensure safety to all, who are subjected to risk by this pandemic, Chief Minister Zoramthanga tweeted:
On June 2nd, 2020, Mizoram reported 12 COVID-19 over two months after the first case was reported. The cases were confirmed at the Zoram Medical College in the state.
Of the 12 confirmed cases, 11 were from Kolasib quarantine centre, who were shifted immediately to the COVID-19 designated hospital – ZMC, while one was an inpatient of ZMC. 10 of them had returned from Delhi while two from Kolkata.
On March 24th, 2020, Mizoram reported its first COVID-19 positive case after a pastor (50), who had returned from the Netherlands, was found infected with SARS-CoV-2, which causes the disease. He was the second COVID-19 patient from the north-east, after a student (23) from Manipur, who had returned from the United Kingdom on the previous day, was found to have contracted the viral infection.
As on June 4th, 2020, the state has conducted 1095 tests and screening of 1,02,589 people. A total of 8,073 people have been quarantined at different quarantine centers and 8,513 have been home quarantined in Mizoram so far.

Assam has the highest number of confirmed coronavirus cases followed by Tripura.

As of June 4th, India has crossed 2 lakh-mark in terms of corona positives in the June 3rd, 2020. The country currently has 208000+ confirmed COVID-19 cases, 106737 active cases with 106737 cured and discharged. The total number of deaths is 6075.
India registered a record jump of 8,909 novel coronavirus cases in a single day (June 3rd).
Among the states, Maharashtra is the first state to cross 2 thousand deaths. It has recorded 74860 corona cases with 32329 cured, 2587 deaths, and 39944 active cases. The western state is followed by Delhi and Tamil Nadu. Delhi has corona 23645 cases with 9542 cured, 606 deaths, and 13497 active cases. Tamil Nadu has 25872 positive cases with 14316 cured, 208 deaths 11348 active cases. Gujarat with 18100 COVID-19 cases, so far, has 12212 have been cured, 1122 deaths, and 4766 active cases.
India has surpassed China’s official figure of 82,933 confirmed coronavirus cases. India now has 7th in most cases in the world and has surpassed Germany. So far, the USA has the highest number of COVID-19 cases at 1,901,783 cases.
Global coronavirus cases have surpassed 65,73,568 cases, with Latin America overtaking the United States and Europe in the past week to report the largest portion of new daily cases globally. It represents a new phase in the virus’ spread, which initially peaked in China in February before large-scale outbreaks followed in Europe and the United States.
