AIZAWL: Mizoram Chief Minister Zoramthanga has urged the public of his state to avoid posting sensitive messages on social media platforms.
CM Zoramthanga has also asserted to have a telephonic conversation with Union Home Minister Amit Shah and his Assam counterpart Himanta Biswa Sarma over the escalated border clash between the two states which had taken a bloody turn on July 26.
"We agreed to resolve the Mizoram-Assam Border issue amicably through meaningful dialogue," said Zoramthanga in a post on Twitter.
Zoramthanga added further, "In the meantime, in order to prevent any possible escalation of the situation, I request the people of Mizoram to avoid posting sensitive messages and make judicious use of their social media platform."

Chief Secretaries and Director General of Police of Assam and Mizoram had already attended a meeting with Union Home Ministry last week in New Delhi and both the parties have agreed to solve the issue amicably.
CMs of both the states were supposed to attend the meeting on next day but following Mizoram CM's claim to be in quarantine as his PSO tested positive for COVID-19 it did not take place.
However, allegations and counter-allegations between both states are still continuing on various platforms.
An FIR has been filed against Assam CM as well in Mizoram with the charges of criminal conspiracy and attempt to murder.
