AIZAWL: The COVID-19 task force of Zoram Medical College (ZMC) on Wednesday suggested an early diagnosis of COVID-19 to avoid increasing fatalities in Mizoram.
Nodal officer PC Lalramenga said the recent study conducted by the task force observed that early diagnosis can effectively prevent a fatality.
A person, who develops symptoms of Covid19 or is suspected to be infected with Covid19 should go for an early test, he said.

Dr Lalnunmawii Sailo, an Associate Professor at Anaesthesiology department and ICU in-charge also said many patients, who have been admitted at the ICU were those, who initially ignore the disease as a common flu.
Sailo also said that 16% of Covid19 patients, who died at the medical college, have been fully vaccinated, while 24% of them have received the first dose.
