Zoram People’s Movement (ZPM) has alleged that the Mizo National Front (MNF) has pushed Mizoram backwards instead of moving forward in terms of development in the past ten months.
ZPM Vice President Kenneth Chawngliana said that over the past months, there had been no development in Mizoram but in fact, the state was turning into an under developed state.

He also expressed dissatisfaction over the renaming of Mizoram Institute of Medical Education Research (MIMER) to Zoram Medical College.
He stated that the MIMER was supposed to be of a very high standard institute but MNF has just reduced it to a simple graduate medical college.
He also alleged that even the border dispute between Assam and Mizoram has not yet been solved. There are ongoing constructions in the disputed areas after the MNF formed the government.
He alleged that many policemen recruited by the MNF died due to alcohol addiction after it came to power.
