Mizoram: One arrested with heroin worth Rs 37 lakh

AIZAWL: Troops of Assam Rifles have arrested one person with contraband heroin from Mizoram today.

The team of Assam Rifles seized 7 soap cases of heroin No.4 from General Area Zotlang - Khankawn Road in Mizoram.

The approximate cost of the seized heroin is Rs 37,20,000.

The operation was carried out by a joint team of 8 Assam Rifles and 2 Assam Rifles along with the Customs Department Champhai, District based on specific information.

Seized contraband items and one individual was handed over to Champhai Police Station for further legal proceedings.
