In view of the surge in number of Covid-19 cases across the country, a massive sanitization drive was carried out on Thursday at the Serchhip town of Mizoram.
The initiative of the sanitization drive was taken up by Serchhip Battalion of Assam Rifles under the aegis of Headquarters 23 Sector Assam Rifles/ Headquarters Inspector General Assam Rifles (East).
The drive was focused on places with heavy footfalls like banks, ATM and surrounding shops in Serchhip Town.
The primary aim of the drive was to curb the spread of coronavirus in within Serchhip Town . The drive was dedicated towards locals to keep their hopes & aspirations intact and enable people to remain safe while continuing their daily activities.
So far, Mizoram has recorded a total of 9444 positive cases of Covid-19 with 7411 active cases.
