Two arrested in Mizoram for allegedly uploading obscene content on YouTube
Two people were arrested in Mizoram for posting obscene videos on YouTube. Police investigations are ongoing and public cooperation is sought to report such content.

Mizoram Police have arrested two persons for allegedly uploading obscene content on social media platforms, officials said.
The accused were identified as Henry Lalrinpuia (29), a resident of Hunthar in Aizawl, and Vanlalhmangaihzuala (35) from Phuldungsei village in Mamit district.
Police alleged that Henry Lalrinpuia operated the YouTube account “@NGAITHLASUHPUITLINGHUANG”, while Vanlalhmangaihzuala allegedly managed the account “@puitlinghuangzz”.
According to police, the investigation was initiated after authorities received information regarding sexually explicit material being circulated online through the two YouTube channels. Officials stated that the videos were publicly accessible, including to minors.
Police said the content attracted provisions under Section 294 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and Section 67 of the Information Technology Act, 2000, which deal with publishing obscene material online.
Based on preliminary findings, the Cyber Crime Police Station registered a case on April 26 and launched an investigation. With assistance from YouTube and technical analysis, police identified the operators of the accounts on May 14.
Police said Henry Lalrinpuia was arrested on May 15, while Vanlalhmangaihzuala was apprehended on May 16. Mobile phones belonging to both accused have been seized for further investigation.
