Assam Deputy Speaker highlights poor road conditions in poll bound Mizoram
Assam Assembly Deputy Speaker and Bokajan MLA, Numal Momin has highlighted the poor road conditions in poll bound Mizoram while campaigning there.
Taking to Facebook, Momin shared a video of his car moving along a dilapidated and muddy road in the West Tuipui constituency in Lunglei district where he had gone to campaign for the BJP candidate T. Lalengthanga.
Talking in the video, Momin showed visuals of the dilapidated muddy road in front of them which appears to have gotten worse with rains. He talked of the dilapidated road conditions in the West Tuipui constituency and also of the poor internet connectivity there.
Momin further said that if the BJP candidate wins then they would fulfil the dreams of the people of the West Tuipui constituency. He also took potshots at the ruling Mizo National Front party under Chief Minister Zoramthanga and also the incumbent Congress MLA.
"We are here campaigning and once our candidate wins, we will fulfill the dreams of the thousands of people of West Tuipui. I hope that he will do better. This election is an acid test for the people of West Tuipui, whether they are lucky got Narendra Modi's representative in West Tuipui, or Zoramthanga's same mindset MLA, or this corrupt Congress MLA again," he said.
Reportedly, Momin's vehicle was stuck in the thick sludge on the road while he was travelling in the West Tuipui constituency along with BJP candidate T. Lalengthanga for campaigning in the area. Following this, the Assam Assembly Deputy Speaker made the video and shared this on Facebook to highlight the dilapidated road conditions in the area.
