Mizo Youth Lalhnehpuia Chhakchhuak honoured with prestigious Anhfeldt Medallion in the US

In a proud moment for Mizoram, Lalhnehpuia Chhakchhuak from Zarkawt, Aizawl, has been awarded the prestigious Anhfeldt Medallion by the United States during the graduation ceremony at North Park University, Chicago, on Saturday, May 10.

 

The Anhfeldt Medallion is a distinguished honor conferred upon students who demonstrate exceptional academic excellence, marked by an outstanding Grade Point Average (GPA). At just 22 years old, Chhakchhuak has etched his name in the academic records of North Park University, becoming an inspiration for students back home.

 

Chhakchhuak, the only son among three children of Aldrin Lallawmzuala and Dr. Lalrinsangi, embarked on his academic journey at North Park University in the Fall Semester of 2021, securing a 50% scholarship. His dedication and consistent performance have now earned him one of the institution's highest accolades.

 

Speaking about his future plans, Lalhnehpuia shared that while he aspires to pursue postgraduate studies, he intends to first take a gap year to gain practical experience through his work visa.

 

The news of his achievement has been widely celebrated across Mizoram. Home Minister K. Sapdanga also took to Instagram to congratulate Chhakchhuak, praising his accomplishment and terming it a proud moment for the state.
