Mizoram CM inaugurates digital transformation conclave, focus on accessible services

Mizoram Chief Minister Lalduhoma, on May 16, inaugurated the 17th Digital Transformation Conclave at the Dawrpui Multipurpose Hall in Aizawl, emphasising affordable and accessible digital services.
 

The event was jointly organised by the Department of ICT, Government of Mizoram, in collaboration with GovConnect, Google Cloud, and Ilouge Media. Dr. Vanlalthlana, Minister for ICT, also attended the event as the guest of honour.


In his inaugural address, the chief minister emphasised the need for affordable and accessible digital services, underlining the efficiency and cost-effectiveness of digital governance for both citizens and the government. He highlighted Mizoram’s ongoing commitment to digital transformation, citing several initiatives such as:

 

  • Mizoram State Public Grievances Redressal & Monitoring System
  • Kai Apps
  • RAMP – MSME Facilitation Cell and Portals
  • SDG Dashboard for village-level goal tracking
  • MPLAN – Project Monitoring Dashboard
  • e-RAM for online tax and revenue services
  • Online ILP (Inner Line Permit) System
  • Online OPD registration at Aizawl Civil Hospital


He also hinted at upcoming projects, including government e-offices and additional digital initiatives. The Chief Minister expressed gratitude to participants, companies, and government officials for their involvement.


Addressing a recent hacking incident involving a government website, he reassured the public that the site had been swiftly and securely restored. He urged all users, particularly government site administrators, to remain vigilant and prioritize cybersecurity.


Dr. Vanlalthlana also spoke about the transformative power of Artificial Intelligence, noting its growing role not only in business but also in family safety. He advocated for inclusive internet access, secure cloud-based data storage, and robust digital infrastructure as key elements of national progress. He reiterated that digital development is essential to realizing the Viksit Bharat 2047 vision and advancing Mizoram’s future.
