Mizoram CM welcomes governor-designate Vijay Kumar Singh at Lengpui airport

Mizoram’s Chief Minister Lalduhoma extended a warm reception to the Governor-Designate of Mizoram, Gen. (Dr.) Vijay Kumar Singh, PVSM, AVSM, YSM (Retd.), and First Lady-Designate Bharti Singh at Lengpui Airport today. 

The event was marked by great honour and respect, with various dignitaries attending the ceremony, including CM Lalduhoma and his wife, Speaker Pu Lalbiakzama, Home Minister K. Sapdanga, Chief Secretary Khilli Ram Meena, and DGP Pu Anil Shukla.

A reception at Raj Bhavan in the evening further solidified the warm welcome, attended by several ministers including Health Minister Lalrinpuii, Rural Development Minister Prof. Lalnilawma, and Sports Minister Lalnghinglova Hmar.

The Governor-Designate’s swearing-in ceremony will take place on January 16 at 11 AM, with Gauhati High Court Chief Justice Vijay Bishnoi administering the oath at the Circular Lawn, Raj Bhavan, Aizawl.
