A massive fire broke out at Mizoram's Darlawn village at midnight, on July 19. As per latest reports, there was no loss of human lives, however a dog that got stuck in one of the houses burnt to death.
The inferno destroyed 2 Assam-type buildings and an RCC building. Another RCC building was also partially destroyed.
After continued effort, the fire was extinguished at around 2 am on the morning of July 20.
According to the the community leaders of Darlawn village, the fire erupted from an electrical circuit.
The community will volunteer in clearing the debris today.
