The 3-day long 40th General Conference of Rengma Students' Union (RSU) commenced with introductory programme on January, 22, 2020 at the Whenha Sports Complex, Phenshünyu and was hosted by the Phenshünyu Lowjvu Students' Union (PLSU).

In a press release, RSU Vice President Tenyebinlo Himb stated that the introductory guest, Awa Lorin, Deputy Chief Election Officer & President of Rengma Officers Forum, empahised on the importance of the community's own language and hoped on seeing the conference delegates joining the officers' forum very soon.
Further, he shared three mantras that is: commitment, discovering oneself, and to stay connected with God.

The programme was chaired by Khitilo Wanth, the President of the Kandi Students Union, the invocation was made by Hyusinlo Keppen, the Pastor pf the Rumesinyu Baptist Church, while the introduction of units & sub-units of Rengma StudentS' Union (RSU) was conducted by the Speaker of the Rengma Students' Union, Hhanchulo Magh.
