Breaking: Nagaland extends lockdown till June 11

KOHIMA: Nagaland government on Friday decided to extend the ongoing lockdown till June 11 in view of the the consistent rise in COVID-19 cases across the state.

KOHIMA: Nagaland government on Friday decided to extend the ongoing lockdown till June 11 in view of the the consistent rise in COVID-19 cases across the state.

The decision was taken by the High Power Committee on the basis of the advisory given by the Health and Family Welfare department.

HPC Spokesperson Mmhonlumo Kikon took to Twitter to make the announcement on Friday.

"The High Power committee, GON, has decided to extend the Lockdown in Nagaland till June 11,2021, on the basis of the advisory given by the Health & Family Welfare Department", he tweeted.

The ongoing lockdown was earlier extended till May 31.

Nagaland so far has recorded a total of 21023 cases with 4941 active cases and 15124 recovered cases.  A total of 326 people died of COVID-19 in the state.
