With D-Day finally here, all eyes are on the Government of India and the Isaak-Muivah faction of the NSCN to ink a historic accord to end the 22-year-long negotiation between the two sides.
Even as the stalemate over a separate flag and constitution continued, both the sides have so far remained steadfast in their demands.
Both the rounds of discussions held on Wednesday remained inconclusive and both sides would meet for another round of talks on Thursday, officials said.
As per reports, a 15-member team of the NSCN (IM) is meeting the Government interlocutor RN Ravi for solve the contentious issue of separate Naga flag and Constitution.
Meanwhile, Manipur's Deputy CM Y Joykumar is leading a 20-member delegation as several organisations and political parties in Manipur are demanding an assurance that Centre should protect the Manipur’s territorial integrity.

It may be mentioned that on Wednesday, Kuki groups took out a rally in Churachandpur in Manipur seeking protection of their land. Moreover, the Coordinating Committee on Manipur Integrity (COCOMI) has announced to stage a protest rally on Thursday (October 31) in Manipur.
The COCOMI has urged the people of the state to unite and join the protest and the body also hinted that anything can happen and appealed the people to be on “high alert”.
It may be mentioned here that The women of Ima Keithel have also submitted a memorandum to the Governor stating that the territorial integrity of Manipur should not be compromised.
Meanwhile, Nagaland Governor R N Ravi has set a deadline of 31 October for signing the final agreement of the ‘Naga Peace Talks’. Because of that, apprehensions are running high in Manipur as the public fears that the ‘final solution’ may disintegrate or compromise the territorial integrity of the State.
