In a major development, social media giants Facebook have resolved to partner with the Nagaland Government on various initiatives, said Advisor IT, Science and Technology, GoN, This was informed by Mmhonlumo Kikon on Tuesday, November 12.
Advisor Mmhonlumo Kikon met Shivnath Thukral ,the Public Policy Director, India & South Asia, Facebook, at New Delhi. Facebook will attend the E-Naga summit and partner with the Nagaland Government on various initiatives, including e-governance and Digital Women Entrepreneur Mentoring program, the Advisor added.

Shivnath Thukral said, "We are looking forward to partner with the state of Nagaland."
The Facebook website was launched on February 4, 2004, by Mark Zuckerberg, along with fellow Harvard College students and roommates, Eduardo Saverin, Andrew McCollum, Dustin Moskovitz, and Chris Hughes. Through its initiatives, Facebook has reached out to various communities across the world and attempted to break the barriers.
