Nagaland Governor R N Ravi has officially flagged off the 20th edition of Nagaland Hornbill Festival (also known as the 'festival of festivals) at the Naga Heritage Village at Kisama, as the Chief Guest. Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio has attended the function as the Chief Host.
The Nagaland Hornbill Festival coincides with the Nagaland Statehood Day, which is being celebrated across the state today.

The tourist festival, Nagaland Hornbill Festival was inaugurated 4 PM at the Naga Heritage Village at Kisama, about 10 Kms east of Kohima, which will be a unique platform for the tourists to witness the diverse culture of Nagaland with colourful cultural items of the 17 Naga tribes.
Every year, the celebration gets bigger and better, and draws the attention and recognition of both domestic and international tourists.
Official sources informed that the troupe from Thailand has confirmed their presence in the Hornbill Festival at Kisama, and another troupe is expected from Hungary.
The Task Force for Music and Arts (TaFMA) of Nagaland will look after the music and concerts to be held at various places at Kohima, Dimapur, Mokokchung, Phek and Wokha.
