Kohima Police on Monday have arrested a youth for allegedly stealing Rs 21 lakh from an ATM in the Nagaland capital.
An ATM booth of Axis Bank located at High School Junction, opposite Vishal Mart, Kohima was vandalised and cash inside the ATM booth was looted by unknown miscreants on the night of January 12, 2020.
After the incident, investigation was undertaken by Kohima Police in order to arrest the miscreant and recover the stolen cash. Accordingly, on January 13, 2020, the investigation team led by M. Yambemo Humtsoe, SDPO (North), Kohima arrested a certain Dzuvileto Natso (29), who was working as a custodian of Cash Management Services (or CMS), police said.

Later, the stolen cash amounting to Rupees twenty one lakhs fourteen thousand was recovered from the basement of a residential complex at Razhü Point, where the arrested person was residing.
The police had earlier recovered an amount Rupees ten lakh sixteen thousand five hundred from the place of theft which was left behind by the accused. The total cash recovered amounts to Rupees thirty one lakhs thirty thousand five hundred.
