Nagaland: 5 new cases detected, state tally reaches 123

With the detection of five new COVID-19 positive cases in Nagaland, the number of active cases has reached 123 cases on June 8th, 2020. All the new cases are - 2 from Dmp QC & 3 from Khm QC.

Informing this, Nagaland Minister of Health and Family Welfare S Pangnyu Phom tweeted:

With these cases, the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases has gone up to 123; of which 115 are active and eight have been cured and discharged in the state so far. However, the state has not registered any death case.

Nagaland and Northeast India

Assam has the highest number of confirmed coronavirus cases followed by Tripura.

India COVID-19 cases so far

India has crossed 2 lakh-mark in terms of corona positives on June 3rd. On June 8th, the country currently has 2,47,000+ confirmed COVID-19 cases, 125381 active cases with 124094 cured and discharged. The total number of deaths is 7135.

Among the states, Maharashtra is the first state to cross 3 thousand deaths. It has recorded 85975 corona cases with 39314 cured, 3060 deaths, and 43601 active cases. The western state is followed by Delhi and Tamil Nadu. Delhi has corona 27654 cases with 10664 cured, 761 deaths, and 16229 active cases. Tamil Nadu has 31667 positive cases with 16999 cured, 269 deaths 14399 active cases. Gujarat with 20070 COVID-19 cases, so far, has 13635 have been cured, 1249 deaths, and 5186 active cases.
